We may need video reenactment, with a butt plug in place of your finger.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. My finger is finally healed all the way after having it closed in the door of a safe. Fortunately it was just a pinky which is barely useful as it is.

I will spend the remainder of the afternoon trying to get the reference :\

Mistakenly volunteered to help move a gun safe... when I had it on the hand truck the person I was helping decided to open the door to look for the manual, then dropped it again on my finger when I told them not to do it while we were moving it...
Fortunately it just broke the very end of it and peeled the skin back in such a way I could put it back in place with a stick and tape. Here is what it looked like after I cut the tape off, not too bad considering when it first happened everything from under the front of the nail to the tip had been peeled back and just bone was showing.

OWW
Looks similar to what my brother managed to do to himself growing up. You'll probably lose that nail for a while.

I actually managed to save it some how. It's healed now... the longest lasting effect was nerve damage, but that seems to be better now. I have lot many a nail due to poor execution of application of hammer to nail, but the safe didn't get one.

Hopefully that friend bought you a 6 pack.
Not bad for self bandaging at all, most people would have splashed some cash at the ER.

Bah, I fix everything but serious injuries myself. I even gave myself stitches once with a sewing needle and fishing line when I was a teenager... but that worked so poorly I let the experts do it now. It hurt much less having a professional do it with the right tools and anesthetics.
There are few injuries you can't fix with blue shop towels, a roll of duct tape, and super glue.

I thought the Q5's had something that will stop the tailgate if it senses 3 or more lbs of resistance...
